Geneva Switzerland-based, under the overall guidance of the Chief of Section, reports to the Human Rights Officer in the Intern Assignment Work Unit. The internship assignment will be for an initial period of three (3) months, which, upon further approval by the Supervisor, will be renewable for a joint term of six (6) months, and a fixed start during the first quarter of the following year. There will be a date. / January 2020 to January 2021.
The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) is a secretariat department responsible for strengthening international human rights practice. Increase inequality and combat discrimination; combat immunity and strengthen accountability and the rule of law. Coordinating human rights in the field of development and economy; expanding the democratic space; and early warning and protection of human rights in situations of conflict, violence and insecurity.
