Pakistan Railways Jobs 2026 – Apply Online

 Pakistan Railways has announced new contract-based career opportunities under the PSDP project titled “Establishment of Business Development & HR Support Unit, Pakistan Railways.” Applications are invited from suitable Pakistani nationals for the following positions on a pure contract basis under the Project Pay Scale (PPS) system.

1. Marketing Expert (02 Posts) – PPS-03

Max Age: 45 Years

Qualification:

• MBA/MSc (Marketing) or SCM related area or related discipline
• Minimum 16 years of education
• Degree recognized by HEC/PEC

Experience Required: Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience in Marketing, Business Development, Market Research or Customer Analytics (preferably in transport, logistics, public sector or service industry).

Key Responsibilities:

• Collecting and analyzing customers’ data
• Identifying KPIs and reporting key metrics for PR services
• Setting up/optimizing analytics tools
• Conducting online marketing initiatives
• Designing and evaluating marketing strategies
• Developing pricing strategies

2. Senior Officer IT (01 Post) – PPS-08

Max Age: 45 Years

Qualification:

• BS (4 years) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent
• Relevant professional IT certification (CCNA, MCSE, CompTIA A+, Network+) will be an added advantage
• Minimum 16 years of education
• Degree recognized by HEC/PEC

Experience Required: Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in IT support, network hardware administration, or office systems management.

Required Skills:

• Windows Server, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi networks
• Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint), VPN
• File servers, centralized storage, backup & recovery
• Troubleshooting, evaluation & procurement of IT equipment
• Experience in public sector, railway, infrastructure or MDB/World Bank projects is highly desirable

3. Computer Operator (01 Post) – PPS-04

Age: 18–30 Years (5 years general age relaxation included)

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s / Graduation Degree preferably in Computer Science
• Degree recognized by HEC/PEC

Experience Required: Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in computer operations, data management or related functions.

Required Skills:

• MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) + Inpage Urdu
• Computer operations, data entry, database maintenance
• Operating office equipment (scanners, printers, photocopiers)
• Internet applications, email correspondence & basic troubleshooting

4. Junior Clerk (02 Posts) – PPS-03

Age: 18–30 Years (5 years general age relaxation included)

Qualification:

• Matriculation
• Minimum typing speed of 30 w.p.m.
• 3 weeks Basic IT Training Course (including MS Office) conducted by NITB
• Degree recognized by Board of Secondary Education

Experience Required: Minimum 2 years relevant clerical or administrative experience in public or private sector preferred.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Good typing speed with high accuracy
• Knowledge of data entry, database management & office record-keeping
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Important General Instructions

1. Contract Terms: Appointments are purely on contract basis for a period of one (1) year, extendable upon satisfactory performance or yearly basis or up to the project’s completion.
2. Place of Posting: Anywhere in Pakistan Railways.
3. Salary: As per Standard Pay Package issued by Finance Division dated 16th April 2022 (as amended from time to time).
4. Experience: Only post-qualification experience will be considered.
5. Foreign Degrees: Candidates holding foreign degrees must provide HEC/PEC equivalence certificate.
6. Age Relaxation: Maximum age limit already includes applicable age relaxations.
7. Government Employees: Must apply through proper channel with departmental NOC.
8. Forgery Clause: Submission of forged/false documents will lead to disqualification and legal action.
