Eligibility Criteria for PMA Long Course / PMA 159 Course
To apply for the PMA 159 Long Course and successfully Join Pak Army, candidates must meet these conditions:
Gender: Male only
Marital Status: Unmarried (married serving Armed Forces personnel over 20 years of age are eligible)
Nationality: Citizens of Pakistan and domicile holders of Azad Kashmir / Gilgit-Baltistan. Dual nationals must surrender other nationalities upon final selection.
Age Limits (as applicable on the relevant date):
- Intermediate or equivalent: 17–22 years (3 months relaxation upper and lower)
- Graduates (2-year degree) and serving PN/PAF personnel: 17–23 years (3 months relaxation)
- Graduates with 4-year programme (BS / BA Hons / BBA / BPA): 17–24 years
- Serving Army soldiers: 17–25 years
Education:
- Minimum 60% marks in FA/FSc or equivalent (55% for candidates from specified underdeveloped areas with proper domicile and education from those areas)
- Graduates with 60% or above in BA/BSc/BS etc. can apply with 50% in FA/FSc
- Serving soldiers require 50% in Intermediate or equivalent
- A-Level candidates need IBCC equivalence where required
Physical Standards:
- Minimum height: 5 feet 4 inches (162.5 cm)
- Weight: As per Body Mass Index (BMI)
