 Pakistan block social media app TikTok for 'immoral' content

The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority has taken notice of public complaints and banned the video sharing app TickTalk indefinitely.

A statement issued by the spokesperson of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority said that the Tik Tak app has been blocked across the country. The move was made to share unethical content with this video sharing app.

The spokesman clarified in his statement that the decision was not taken by the agency itself but after taking notice of public complaints.

A PTA spokesman said the Tik Tak administration had been given a deadline to submit a reply. However, it will be banned for not resolving complaints.
